  • Me!
    name Kate Smith
    DOB February 22nd
    location Phoenix, AZ USA

Even before I can remember I had a keen interest in drawing. Before I could write, I would make up long detailed comics (usually of dinosaurs) and ceaselessly force my parents to caption them for me. While the modern Kate still has the same passion for art, I have vastly improved my craft. I specialize in digital art, and have developed a unique style of "painting" on the digital canvas.

If you are interested in my work in a professional or personal capacity, please drop me a line via e-mail.

  • F. A. Q.

    • Q. Do you accept commissions?
    • A. Yes. I accept personal and commercial illustration commissions.
    • Q. Do you have a commissions queue?
    • A. For personal commissions, yes, you can find the link to that queue here.
    • Q. What is the difference between personal and commercial commissions?
    • A. Personal commissions are commissions that are cheaper than commercial commissions, but I retain commercial rights to the image. The image I produce may not be used in the sale of products or in any advertising capacity. Commercial commissions are commissions intended for commercial use. They are more expensive because the client is purchasing not only the image, but the rights to that image as well.
    • Q. Do you have a limited amount of openings in your personal commissions queue?
    • A. Yes, if there are no spaces listed as "open" that indicates that the list is full.
    • Q. How often do you take more commissions?
    • A. I open space on my personal queue weekly.
    • Q. Will you livestream my commission?
    • A. Streaming services are available upon request.
    • Q. How long does the typical commission take?
    • A. This changes depending on the complexity of the image. More simple images take about a week, more complex may take upwards of one month.
    • Q. If I am unhappy with the result of the image, can I request edits?
    • A. Small edits and tweaks are available after a commission is complete. Major edits may not be possible, or may require an additional fee.
    • Q. If I am still unhappy with the result, will I be entitled to a refund?
    • A. No refunds are currently offered once an image is complete. Partial refunds are available before then.
    • Q. What will you and what won't you draw?
    • A. I absolutely will not draw any imagery deemed illegal in the United States. I do not currently have a set of standards elsewise. If you want to know if I will accept your project, you may ask first.
